BRB Cable Industries Ltd. a private Limited Company was established with a view to manufacture Wires & Cables in 1978. After successful incorporation, BRB starts its commercial production in 1980. During the year 2000 BRB launched its PVC Cables Plant for producing up to 33KV Cables along with XLPE insulated HT Cables, FRLS Cables, and Aluminum Conductors up to 132KV. Moreover, Super Enameled Copper Wire Plant & Instrumentation Cables were launched during this time. At this age, BRB introduces C.C.V Plant (Catenary Continuous Vulcanization) for the first time in Bangladesh.
To meet up increasing demand in the market, the company starts producing AAAC, AAC & ACSR Conductor, XLPE & PVC Insulated LT & HT Cables, FRLS Cables, House, and Appliances Wiring Cables, Dry & Jelly filled Telecommunication Cables, Instrumentation Cables, Aluminum Overhead Conductors, special type of Dual Coated Super Enameled Copper Wire, Marine Cables, Optical Fiber Cables (OFC), Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) and Ceiling Fan.
The products are approved by BSTI (Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution) and certified by the world-renowned internationally reputed individual Testing laboratory CPRI (Central Power Research Institute), India.
The factory is situated at BSCIC Industrial Estate, 5 KM from Kushtia town and it is well equipped with modern machinery and equipment along with a group of qualified and experienced manpower to ensure the quality of the products and thus the company has earned fame in the country and its product has been approved and is used by major Govt. and Non-Govt. organizations such as BPDB, REB, DESA, DESCO, BMDA, PWD, BTMC, BSFIC, T&T, MES, BADC, Bangladesh Port Authority, Bangladesh Railway, Autonomous bodies, Private sector, Industrial and Apartment projects, and individuals.
The Company is marketing its products through more than 150 Sales centers to provide integrated supports to around 20,000 Cable Traders countrywide. It has a group of experienced personnel in its marketing & technical department who are well equipped to render service to its customers.
The year 2018 has been marked BRB’s 40th Anniversary and now it has become one of The Largest Conglomerate in Bangladesh. In recognition of the success, we enjoy more than fifty percent market share. BRB was awarded the “President Award for Industrial Development” for the year 2014 & 2016 and also got an appreciation award from the United States Ambassador to Bangladesh Marcia Stephens Bloom Bernicat for achieving the President Award. Besides, BRB got The National Export Trophy (Gold) for six times and also got certification for keeping ‘Special Contribution’ in the realm of ‘Environment Pollution Control’ from the Ministry of Environment & Forest. BRB has been awarded as one of the Highest Tax Payers consistently for its remarkable contribution to the national economy.
ISO 9001:2015 Certified BRB Cables earned the Germanischer Lloyd Marine Cable Approval Certificate-2010 for producing marine cables for the first time in Bangladesh.
